Every July 4th, the United States celebrates the country's birthday. It is the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, signed in 1776.
The day looks different depending on where you are, and everyone has their own tradition for how it is celebrated. A grill going somewhere nearby, the water full of boats, the beach full of chairs. Whether planned weeks in advance or letting the day take them wherever it leads, once the sun goes down, everyone celebrates with fireworks over every skyline.
We asked the Crew how they are spending theirs.
Henry likes to keep things simple with a backyard BBQ. The grill is on, the cooler is stocked, friends know when to show up and when to stay. No itinerary, no agenda, and a long afternoon that stretches into a longer evening.

August always has a plan, and this one starts on the boat. Not a rough plan, a real one. Fuel topped up the night before, cooler loaded by ten, sunscreen already handed out. He knows exactly where the boat will be when the first firework hits.
